Financial Analyst – Wealth Management Team
Planning Alliance, a leading independent wealth management and advisory firm headquartered in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, is seeking an exceptionally strong financial modeler to join our Wealth Management Team as a Financial Analyst. For over four decades, Planning Alliance has partnered with families, business owners, and entrepreneurs to provide comprehensive planning and financial strategies that span risk management, investment management, estate planning, business succession, and multi-family office services. We combine boutique, high-touch service with the resources and capabilities of one of the nation’s premier financial services organizations, serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs, and multi-generational businesses.
The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting advisors and senior planners by preparing balance sheets, reviewing and analyzing insurance and investment documents, and building advanced models for retirement, cash-flow, and estate and trust planning scenarios. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional Excel skills, including the ability to construct complex, dynamic financial models that stress-test assumptions and illustrate outcomes across multiple scenarios. A strong foundation in investments, insurance, annuities, and taxation is essential, as is the ability to translate technical analysis into clear and actionable insights for client presentations.
This role requires close collaboration with advisors, portfolio managers, and estate planning professionals, providing analytical support for strategy sessions, client deliverables, and technical memoranda. The analyst will also contribute to research and thought leadership, helping develop internal training and white papers on sophisticated planning strategies. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, and demonstrate prior experience in wealth management, investment analysis, or financial planning. Professional designations such as CFA, CFP, or CPA are preferred but not required.
We offer the opportunity to work on some of the most advanced planning strategies in the industry, exposure to complex estate, tax, and investment structures, and the chance to collaborate in a boutique, high-performing team culture. Planning Alliance provides competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
